Create a Goal Tending Solution in Your Company

Quarterly Objectives are one of the mainstays of the modern day corporation. After all, if the company hopes to deliver increased profits and maintain shareholder's equity, it's going to have to hit its financial targets and please the street consistently. There is no doubt about it goals in companies are paramount. But may I ask who in your company or corporation is doing the goal tending these days?

Documenting objectives at all levels and in all business units makes sense and your company ought to keep track of such goals and objectives in real time, along with the percentage of previous success achieved in each unit. This will help you with forecasting and you can use this "goal tending" strategy as a tool that individual managers and leaders in each business unit can use to help accomplish their objectives and streamline their flow of success.

Making the goals may seem like a lot of work each month, but achieving the goals is the hard part. Even more difficult is pacing your exploits in the market and the efficiencies within to make sure you are on track to accomplishing your objectives. If you get too far behind, you are sunk and if you go charging off ahead you are liable to come crashing back due to your failure to build that steady foundation; the foundation from which you will spring board the next set of goals and objectives.

Thus, each and every company needs to have a goal tender and someone who will help oversee all the objectives and goals on a timely basis for the CEO or corporate executives which have to make decisions. If not, it's all guesses and hunches and that will only get your company so far. Think on this.

What Do You Mean You Don't Have the Time?

Concentration and staying focused are possibly the most difficult things to control. You are inundated daily with so many distractions. Open your mail box and a hundred 'Gurus' are offering their latest sure fire way of being successful. In no time at all one or two hours have drifted by and are gone forever.

No matter whether you have written goals or not, it is so easy to slip into the,'Just have a look at this one',mode and before you know it you do not have time to carry out the very thing you had originally set out to do.

You set off chasing your goals with such enthusiasm and vigour determined to spend a certain time each and every day making it or them come to fruition. Then life gets in the way. There are times even when you are knocked off track by a personal or family illness or emergency or an unexpected bill lands on our doormat.

Dont they just give you a great excuse as to why you didn't do this or that to bring your goals to completion? If only that hadn't happened, if only I had more time. Your goal lies on a piece of paper somewhere to appear again when you will have more time.

I will now let you into a secret, now I am hoping you will not broadcast this to everyone - Life gets in the way but the more successful individuals have developed techniques for keeping their focus on the goal DESPITE what is happening around them.

I had the experience last week of watching a Premiership Footballer in the UK playing with all the positive determination of a true professional, his fans were not aware that he had been woken at 2:00am that morning to learn of the sudden death of his younger brother in a car accident. Now that is focus.

On a lesser scale watch any true professional who can hold their concentration despite what may be happening around them. I well remember when I was learning to play golf. The guy I played with, played off scratch {if you do not play golf - that means he was good!}, as I started my back swing he would cough or noisily open a bag of crisps, carefully designed to put me off - well yes - but he also taught me to ignore what was happening around me and concentrate on my swing. So that my subconscious took over when I needed inspiration in negative circumstances.

Watch your son or daughter play a computer game and see the powerful force of concentration on their faces as they destroy the baddies. My son even at 19 yrs of age, when home from university, doesn't hear a vacuum cleaner or me come into his room when his concentration, set on his goal of saving the earth, is successful.

Listen to this - now look at your goals. Is your journey one of successful completion or do you drift from thing to thing, even to the extent that you do not make the goal at all!

There is a supreme secret in goal planning that will guarantee that you never drift off course, so that you will always have time to work on your goal achievement each and every day to accomplish all you commit to achieve. It is your choice, you are ready for success aren't you?

Ask yourself why do you drift off course, why do you fail to achieve your goal? The clue to achievement of all your goals is on this page. As Napoleon Hill said in his wonderful work; 'Think and Grow Rich', the secret to wealth is within the pages. He did not tell you what the secret was as he wanted you to discover it for yourself, that is a positive powerful form of leadership.

The secret to goal achievement is in this article, but you have to find it.

For when you do you will achieve everything you want in life.

Because of the pressures of daily living you may not have time to commit to do everything you WANT to do, but with focus you will have plenty of time to do everything you NEED to do. Goal setting is a simple formula of setting out what you want in life and making the decision to commit to achieving those goals. And once you know the SECRET you will have focus and power to achieve what you may have thought was impossible.

Do it now! That saying can affect every phase of your life. concentration is the key to success. It can help you do the things you should do but don't feel like doing. It can keep you from procrastinating when an unpleasant duty faces you. But it can also help you do those things that you want to do. It helps you seize those precious moments that, if lost, will never be retrieved.

Inspiration Ideas and Motivation at the Movies

Finding something you don't like about yourself is usually very easy for most people. Most of the time you don't even have to ask your family or friends because you have heard them complain about the same thing for years. How many times have you heard someone mention, I need to lose weight?

There are plenty of things that people would like to stop doing or start doing. If you're a smoker and you seem to shop excessively near the casinos, I would advise you to start with something small and work your way up to the big stuff.

What are you going to change today about your life? Make a list of things that you're not happy with about your life and start making the changes today that you need to create the life you deserve and desire.

Mental Problems And Disease

Gallantry, Generosity, and Fidelity - Tools For War

"A mean victory brings no glory, but rather disgrace... In men of honour the smallest trace of meanness repels: the noble and the ignoble should be miles apart. Be able to boast that if gallantry, generosity, and fidelity were lost in the world men would be able to find them again in your own breast." -Balthasar Gracian.

The above illustration vividly portrays the type of person almost everyone likes. The regal kind of person who combines bravery, kindness, and loyalty is quite rare in any day, though there are these people around if you look hard enough. They're certainly not the type of person you'd expect to be fighting, but ironically, they're the best fighters.

It pays to fight wisely or not at all.Fighting unfairly is a quick way to gather enemies for the journey, and we never know when one of those enemies will either strike -- 'expect it when you least expect it' -- or when you'll want a friend from their number and it's altogether too late.Fighting fairly, of course, is also the right thing to do.

This quote is finally about how deep-seated the values of gallantry, generosity, and fidelity should be in our psyches; that once we're engaged in life situations these values permeate not only our own actions, but also the lives of others, making life a sweet and lovely thing.

The integrity of the soul is the subject here. How do we fare on the roads or in the wilderness of life?Is there a competitive streak that compels us to win at all costs, or is it 'governed' as in the device on a diesel engine that throttles it back and controls the top-end power?Integrity of stately values is to be our governor.

When all is said and done, if we fight, we must pick the right one, and also employ the right values-based strategy.Would it not be a good thing if these three: gallantry, generosity, and fidelity, were last of all found in you? Now, that is real spiritual leadership, wisdom, and emotional intelligence... and a raft of others, all rolled into one.We could also call it 'being Christian.'The kind of person A.W. Tozer touted, "They will be serious men whose eyes look far; and though they may be meek and lowly as the Lord they adore, there will be about them a suggestion of royalty, a noble reserve of bearing that cannot be mistaken."

This type of meek, lowly, yet regal and noble character is what we're to strive for.

Creating a New Future by Living in the Moment

Moving forward on the road of life

We are all products of the mental image we have formed for ourselves. Most all images are created by our imagination based on our past life experiences. These experiences, good and bad are fixed in our minds. If we see the sun rising every day, we believe that this will continue forever and we may prepare for each new day by wearing sunglasses. Our daydreams and fantasies form our outlook of the future. Together with our ego's analysis we either live in the past or in the future. Seldom do we allow ourselves the liberty of dwelling in the present.

Many years ago, after I just purchased a motorcycle jacket and was wearing it for the first time, I got into a fight in a parking lot. Upon arriving back at my house after the fight I hung the motorcycle jacket in the back of my closet, never to wear it again. You see, my vision of the future had equated the wearing of the motorcycle jacket to getting into another fight, and I wanted none of that. My belief system had convinced me to rid myself of the object I perceived would lead me into another fight. At that time I knew what I was doing but was afraid to confront myself with the reality of the situation. With respect to the wearing of the motorcycle jacket, I had sealed my future.

The clothing I wear reflects my future interpretation of a coming event based on some past incident. This was a real eye opener for me, however I couldn't do anything about it. My past was my future.

To some extent that is probably the way most of us operate. The modalities I have studied and taught reflect the intent of bringing us into the present and allowing us to operate in the moment. In the practice of yoga or tai chi we must be totally concentrating on the mental and physical posture we are practicing at the moment. These postures must become second nature, enabling us to practice with a still mind. This is the way to go about our daily lives. Let our intuition guide us thru our experiences. Our minds calm, our bodies relaxed and our breath long full and deep. In this way we reflect our true nature as we move thru life.

Affirmations 101, FAQs - Why Do Affirmations Sometimes Not Work?

I will try to be gentle when I reveal why affirmations sometimes don't work. Are you ready?

It is you!

OK, that was not very gentle but I will explain. You are the reason why the affirmation won't work or more precisely your internal thought patterns.

If your internal thoughts about money don't jive with the above affirmation your internal mind will disregard the statement and basically reject it because it conflicts with what you really think.

If you think...

1. I can not create all the money I need because the economy is bad
2. I can not create all the money I need because there are no jobs
3. I need a bailout... I can not create all the money I need without gov't help
4. I don't have enough money my expenses are too high
5. I can't find any ways to create money
6. I can't create money I don't have a very good job

or about a million other dysfunctional things about money you may be conflicting with my affirmation.

So, if you read this affirmation about money and feel yourself saying "fat chance, or yeah right..." you probably don't think you are equipped to create all the money you will ever need....

If this is you admit it and decide right now that this issue is something you are committed to improve and work on.. how? Well with an affirmation of course!

"I am open to new ways of thinking about money and my relationship with money"

That seems easier doesn't it?

So if you can stomach this affirmation without thinking you are joking yourself use this one...

"I am enough. I came to this earth equipped to thrive and flourish."

If you really don't believe the above use this one....

"I am open to new ways of thinking about money and my relationship with money"

So what happens with this affirmation once I say it? You'll have to wait until next time to find out...

Say the affirmation to yourself just as you are falling asleep tonight and when you awake. Write the affirmation on the bathroom mirror or on your fridge. Try to say it to yourself at least 20 times per day over the next few days. Something will start to happen...

Prosperity Affirmations - The ABC's of Affirmations - Part I of V

Listening to or saying prosperity affirmations, or affirmations in general, is a great way to consciously change your life.

But what do you affirm?

That's up to you. Still, the following ABC's of Affirmations will help point you in a positive direction to start.

As you read these ABC's, play with turning them into affirmations that capture the essence of what you desire to experience in life...

A - Accept responsibility for everything you've experienced to date in life. Your thoughts, feelings, decisions and actions have created it all.

B - Believe that since you are responsible for everything you experience in life that also means you are now capable of creating the experiences you desire.

C - Choose your thoughts deliberately. Listening to or saying affirmations is a great way to select thoughts that will produce the feelings, decisions and actions that will create the results you desire.

D - Daydream about what you desire. Talk to yourself about it (affirmations). Feel it. See it. And make sure you feel good when doing so. (TIP: If it's frustrating, you're not thinking about what you want.)

E - Enjoy every moment of every day while remembering that life is not a problem to be solved, but an adventure to be enjoyed and a mystery to delight in (there's an affirmation for you!).

F - Feed your mind thoughts and images that are consistent with what you desire to experience yourself. And if that means turning off certain shows, movies, the news and/or friends, your well being is worth it.

G - Get what you want by wanting what you get. Yes, have your dreams, acknowledge your desires, and set your goals. But keep them all as preferences. That way, you can still enjoy life until they manifest.

We'll Start With Those For Now

Sometimes it's best to take bit size pieces, so we'll continue on with Part II of IV later.
