Little Known Ways to Use Compost Worms

They have finally found a way to use worms aside from being the main dish in Fear Factor. Some of us may get goosebumps at the sight of creepy crawlies, it is truly enough to give the average person the heebie-jeebies. But on the up side they have been known to cultivate the environment for a long time. It really is no surprise to find that they play a vital role in the whole composting process.

Compost worms may well become one of the solutions to environmental problems and lack of nutrition in the soil. Scientists have tested this in the laboratory and now approve of this new technique to worm composting. The red worm variety are the ones capable of this new feat.

Whether you have your worm compost indoors or outdoors, you can have them in either or in both areas. The worms can adapt to most environments and they are tireless workers that will till your compost from sunup to sundown. You only need to feed them scraps to keep them in top condition.

Worms are attracted to a damp environment, but not to much moisture. your compost pile should be like a damp sponge. When you add just the right amount of moisture to your compost pile you will only need to be patient, the worms will begin to create a very fertile soil.

Another thing that is available with worm composting that other techniques do not have is mobility. You can move it anywhere, assuming that you have a small scale worm composting project.
